Congratulations to our resident Web Consultant – Tom, who recently raised over £700 for The Haemophilia Society with a sponsored swim. Tom, himself a sufferer from Haemophilia, found out several weeks ago that the Society is finding it difficult to find funding – so he decided he would do something about it.
His sponsored swim took place at the new Maghull Leisure Centre and he completed 66 lengths (just over a mile) in 45 minutes. A great achievement after only a few weeks of training I must say!
Tom was interviewed about his sponsored swim on Radio Merseyside by Roger Phillips – the main aim for this was to raise awareness of The Haemophilia Society.
